The memorial is dedicated to those who served in the 1991 Persian Gulf War.

This website has been designated by the North Carolina Division of Veterans affairs to support the 1991 Gulf War Memorial Commission. All content is property of the State of North Carolina and is for reference only.

The Memorial design has been approved by the NC Memorial Commission, NC Sate Historical Commission, and is being scheduled for installation at Halifax Mall in the downtown Capitol area of Raleigh, NC

Initial funding for the Memorial was provided by the Kuwati Government in 1991, in appreciation of the military troops from North Carolina who participated in the liberation of their country.
